BookKashi (Varanasi) — Vishwanath area
Rudrabhishek, Maha Mrityunjaya jaap, Ganga puja and shraddh in Kashi, the city of Shiva.
काशी (वाराणसी) — विश्वनाथ क्षेत्र
Prepared by the Global Vedic Puja Jyotish team · Pandit: Pandit Shastri Gyan Nidhi Pandey · Updated
Kashi is among the oldest living cities in the world and the home of Kashi Vishwanath. Shiva pujas — Rudrabhishek, Laghu Rudra, Maha Mrityunjaya jaap — and Ganga puja on the ghats are traditional here, as are shraddh and tarpan for ancestors. Pujas are performed in the Vishwanath area and on the ghats; temple-specific offerings depend on temple rules on the day.
