When families choose a tirth puja

Some rites are traditionally done at a particular place. Pind daan and asthi visarjan are performed at the Sangam in Prayagraj or on the ghats of Kashi; Pitru Paksha shraddh carries special meaning at a tirth; and many families wish to offer a Rudrabhishek in Kashi or a Sundarkand Path in Ayodhya once in their lives. When the family lives abroad and the journey isn't possible – because of work, health, school terms or visas – a pandit can perform the rite there in their name.

How it works

  1. Tell us the tirth and the puja, with the names and gotra for the sankalp (and, for ancestral rites, the names of the departed).
  2. We suggest a date – Amavasya, Purnima, Pitru Paksha or another suitable day – and confirm the time in your local time zone and IST.
  3. Our pandits travel to the tirth and perform the sankalp and puja in your family's name.
  4. You receive photos afterwards and, where arranged, a live video link or a recording.

Online puja or tirth puja?

A live online puja happens in your own home: pandit ji leads from India and your family makes the offerings. A tirth puja happens at the holy place: the pandits make the offerings for you, and you follow by photos or video. Many families combine the two – for example a Pitru Dosh puja online at home and pind daan at Prayagraj during Pitru Paksha.

Ancestral rites

For rites for the departed, see pind daan at Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj, asthi visarjan in Prayagraj or Kashi, Pitru Dosh puja and shraddh and Narayan Bali.

What to expect

We perform the sankalp with your family's names and gotra at the tirth and share photos afterwards. A live video link or a recording can be arranged on request — please confirm when booking, as it depends on the site, crowd rules and connectivity on the day. These tirths are places our pandits travel to; they are not our office locations.

Frequently asked questions

What is a tirth puja on my behalf?

Our pandits travel to a holy place in India – Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan or Kashi – and perform the puja there with a sankalp in your family's names and gotra. You don't need to travel; you follow from home.

Can I watch the puja live?

Often, yes. A live video link or a recording can be arranged on request. Please confirm when you book: it depends on the site, crowd rules and mobile connectivity on the day. Photos are shared after every tirth puja.

Which pujas are done at a tirth?

Mainly rites for ancestors (pind daan, tarpan, shraddh, Narayan Bali, asthi visarjan) and pujas closely tied to a place, such as Rudrabhishek in Kashi or Sundarkand Path in Ayodhya. Each tirth page lists what we perform there.

How is the price worked out?

Tirth pujas are quoted per request, because the cost depends on the place, the number of pandits, travel and samagri. We confirm the dakshina before the date; nothing is charged online.

What details do you need from us?

The puja you want, the names and gotra of the family members for the sankalp, and for ancestral rites the names of the departed (and the date of passing, if known). If you don't know your gotra, Kashyap gotra is traditionally used.

Are these your office locations?

No. These are places our pandits travel to for your puja. We have no offices at the tirths; bookings are handled online and on WhatsApp.
