Dubai has a large Indian community, from long-established families in Bur Dubai, Karama and Oud Metha to professionals in Al Barsha, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai Marina, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Mirdif, with many more commuting from Sharjah and Ajman. Meena Bazaar in Bur Dubai has long been the place to shop for festival items, and the Hindu temple complex in Jebel Ali is a focal point for many families on festival days. Yet daily life in high-rise apartments, long work weeks and the summer heat make home rituals with a visiting pandit difficult to arrange, particularly on popular muhurats. Our pandits are based in India and conduct pujas live over Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp video. Dubai is only one and a half hours behind India, so an evening puja after work in Dubai falls in the Indian evening and parents in India can join comfortably. The pandit explains each step in Hindi or English. Rituals traditionally done at a tirth, such as pind daan and asthi visarjan, are performed on your family's behalf at Prayagraj, Kashi, Ayodhya or Mathura-Vrindavan and shown to you live. Because apartment towers have strict fire-safety systems, we offer a smoke-free havan: the pandit performs the fire havan live at a tirth in India while your family offers ahutis at home with no flame or smoke, or with only a ghee lamp. We have no office in the UAE and do not make home visits.
Practical notes for Dubai
- Meena Bazaar in Bur Dubai and shops in Karama stock samagri; we send a checklist in advance.
- Dubai is 1h30m behind IST all year, with no daylight saving.
- Tower fire systems are sensitive and strictly maintained; choose the smoke-free havan and never cover or disable a detector.
- Saturday and Sunday mornings and Friday evenings are the most requested slots.
- Do not place ashes, flowers or offerings in the sea, the Creek or on beaches; we arrange visarjan at a tirth in India.
- For a new apartment, Griha Pravesh can be done on handover day before furniture arrives.
Online via Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp video. Online pujas from $51 — see pricing.
