Online puja for families in Toronto & Brampton

The Greater Toronto Area has Canada's largest Indian community, with Hindu families concentrated in Brampton, Mississauga, Malton, Scarborough, Markham, Etobicoke and Milton. The region is also home to many newcomers and international students, who often arrive without a family pandit or a network of elders to guide rituals. Highway commutes, shift work and long winters make it hard to plan a home puja around a pandit's travel schedule, especially on busy muhurats around Diwali or a closing date for a new house. Our pandits are based in India and conduct pujas live over Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp video. The pandit guides each step, explaining in Hindi or English so first-timers and children can follow, and family in India can join on the same link. Rituals traditionally done at a tirth, such as pind daan and asthi visarjan, are performed on your family's behalf at Prayagraj, Kashi, Ayodhya or Mathura-Vrindavan and shown to you live. Many GTA households live in condos or basement apartments with smoke alarms and building rules about open flames, so we offer a smoke-free havan: the pandit performs the fire havan live at a tirth in India while your family offers ahutis at home with no flame or smoke, or with only a ghee lamp. We have no office in Canada and do not make home visits.

Practical notes for Toronto & Brampton

• Brampton and Malton plazas and Gerrard India Bazaar stock samagri; we send a checklist before your puja.
• Toronto is 10h30m behind IST in winter and 9h30m behind in summer; evening pujas fall in the early Indian morning, which suits many rituals.
• For condos and basement rentals, choose the smoke-free havan and follow building rules. Never cover or disable an alarm.
• Many families do Griha Pravesh on or just after closing day; share your closing date early so we can find a muhurat.
• Do not put ashes or offerings into Lake Ontario or local rivers; we arrange visarjan at a tirth in India.
• Long weekends and March break are popular; book two to three weeks ahead.
