Practical notes for Brisbane

• Indian grocery stores in the area stock most samagri; we send a checklist in advance.
• Brisbane is 4h30m ahead of IST all year, because Queensland has no daylight saving; late-morning to evening slots work best.
• Note that Sydney and Melbourne move an hour ahead of Brisbane in summer; if relatives there join, we confirm each city's time.
• Fire restrictions can limit outdoor fires in dry periods; use the smoke-free havan indoors and never disable an alarm.
• For newly built homes, Griha Pravesh and Vastu Shanti can be done together before you move furniture in.
• Do not put ashes or offerings in the Brisbane River or the ocean; we arrange visarjan at a tirth in India.
